Scoliosis

Underneath "discomfort" is the internal breath of the cells.

In the Body Mind Centering® method the first pattern in the evolutionary ladder is the vibrational body or pranic body. The second stage is the cellular breath or our internal respiration. These are fundamental blue prints that are "echos" from the past and are present throughout our lives. The subtlety of our breath can be experienced as a state filled with vibrancy, acceptance and inner comfort.

How to find comfort and ease in dealing with Scoliosis?

What is the difference between yield [accepting gravity, space, and the environment] and collapse? How to find a balanced postural, organic, fluid and pranic tone?

Through the somatic movement methods [Body Mind Centering® and Feldenkrais®] and our own desire to understand the body-mind relationship, we can begin to address some of these questions and find out our own unique answer in dealing with Scoliosis. These techniques can enhance our kinesthetical awareness and skills in observation with a nonjudgmental mind. It is possible to find the easy way of movement, being, and living with an asymmetrical axis.

Feldenkrais

The Feldenkrais® method offers a diversity of lessons called "awareness through movement" and hands on techniques called functional integration. The method provides options for learning, living, and growing. It has practical and efficient results in the science of normal and abnormal movement patterns. It reaches all ages group and cultures.

Each class lasts approximately 60 minutes and consists of awareness through movement lessons, along with functional integration a non verbal dialogue between practitioner and client where touch is the primary communicator.

These lessons were designed by Doctor Moshe Feldenkrais and are adapted to individual needs.

The Evolutionary Movement and The Body Systems

The ontogenetic [the evolution of humans] and phylogenetic [the evolution of the species] evolutionary movement stages serve as an important internal and external foundation, not only for the asana practice, but also for how we move and interact in the world, providing important neurological input which helps us repattern and organize our experience.

Learn how to explore different physiological rhythms that surface on the embryonic stages of humans and species. This early music underlies the development of each physiological system of the body. The relearning of these fluid patterns takes place first underneath our thinking and intellectual mind. Later on, in the hierarchy of evolution, higher centers of the brain develop. Then the thinking mind is integrated with the feeling mind. The inner and the outer dance begins.
